Thinking

Did you know that our thoughts and feelings have an impact on our physical being for maintaining health or creating disease within the body? Our mind can play an important role in our health and well-being.

Affirmations, Breathing Techniques, Meditation and Visualization are powerful tools to make your mind work for you, to help you to cope with the daily stresses and to achieve your goals.

You can learn one technique or combine them. Whatever you choose, regularity and consistency are the keys to improving your health and well-being.

  • Affirmations

Rely on the principle that you can only become successful if you tell yourself “I can do that” instead of saying “I can’t do that”. Positive affirmations are a very powerful tool used to change how each individual thinks and feels about themselves. It brings to life a person’s capabilities, strengths, talents and skills. With constant use of positive affirmations, you will be able to reprogram your internal subconscious mind, changing the negative into the positives.

  • Breathing Techniques

Diaphragmatic breathing (commonly named stomach or belly breathing) can help you to trigger relaxation response, improve flow of blood, slow down the rate of breathing, so less energy is consumed in breathing, strengthen the lungs and diaphragm, decrease the demand of oxygen and strengthen the immune system.

  • Meditation

Meditation helps to reduce stress by teaching us to switch off from the worries that can plague us through the day. It is an opportunity to spend time with ourselves and learn to bring our unruly mind under control.

  • Visualization

Visualization is the most powerful tool of self suggestion. Our mind perceives all the pictures as the reality, regardless if they are real or imaginary. This technique was first used in sports when athletes were taught to imagine taking their shot and the outcome they desired, resulting in optimum performance. This method can help you to achieve goals in all areas of your life.
